BIOL 402 - Endocrinology (3 S.H.)
Students will gain an understanding of the structure, function, and cellular/molecular biology of the endocrine system with an emphasis on mammalian/human endocrinology and relevant disease states. It will also have an emphasis on identifying, reading, and discussing primary literature. This course is primarily intended for students who are preparing for further studies in medicine, veterinary medicine, allied health fields, or graduate work in related disciplines. Prerequisites: △ BIOL 308 - Cell Biology , BIOL 311 - Genetics Laboratory , BIOL 322 - Human Anatomy , either CHEM 350 - Principles of Organic Chemistry I or CHEM 340 - Organic Chemistry Survey . △ BIOL 323 - General Physiology and △ CHEM 400 - Biochemistry I recommended. Grade only. Offered yearly.
