HERS 292 - Principles of Athletic Training (3 S.H.)
This course deals with the prevention, assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Emergency care, taping/wrapping techniques, and proper selection and fitting of bracing and splinting devices will also be covered. This course is designed for athletic training majors only and includes a clinical education requirement. Lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory experience. Prerequisites: HERS 191 - Introduction to Athletic Training and BIOL 211 - Anatomy and Physiology I .
Effective Spring 2014: Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Certification, and . Grade only. Offered fall semester only.
