CS 395 - Community-Based Computer Technology Project


(3 S.H.)

In addition to the requirements of CS 295 - Computer Technology Project , this course requires a community-based focus to the project. Students will choose a community organization (with assistance of the course instructor as needed) and complete a computer technology project developed in cooperation with their site supervisor and the course instructor. It is expected that students will spend time volunteering at their site during the semester. Prerequisites: CS 110 - Computers in a Global Society , CS 115 - Computer Systems and Internet Technology , CS 116 - Web Technology I , CS 130 - Problem Solving with Computers , or CS 150 - Exploring Mathematics through Computing , and an approved 300- or 400-level course in the student’s major.
