The Curriculum & Instruction emphasis utilizes current research on instructional best practices to prepare professionals to address complex problems in teaching and learning. Participants engage in analyses of effective and innovative instructional strategies, their own pedagogy, and conduct action research focused on improving their own students’ learning.

Program Highlights
- Courses blend online and face-to-face learning to accommodate working professionals.
- Online learning is synchronous (together, in real-time) and asynchronous (time and place are irrelevant).
- Face-to-face learning is offered weekends and daytime during the summer in Rochester at WSU-Rochester’s Broadway location.
- Faculty members are accomplished professionals with experience in the field.
Admission Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree with a 2.75 GPA from an accredited institution
- Application form, two letters of reference, current resume, and a written personal statement
- The GRE is not required.
