A Plan of Study is available on the Graduate Certificate in Nursing website.
This certificate program is designed for Post-Nursing Graduate degree prepared nurses making career moves from practice-based employment to education programs and is part of an effort to expand the outreach and access to educational programming for the preparation of qualified Nurse Educators. The program consists of three seminar courses and one practicum consisting of 180 hours of clinical experience teaching in academic and healthcare settings. These courses may be taken over one year or more. All of the courses are offered using distance teaching strategies.

Graduate Nursing Certificate Programs

The Graduate Programs in Nursing offer five Graduate Certificate programs for nurses interested in post-nursing graduate education: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner ; Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist ; Family Nurse Practitioner ; Nurse Educator ; or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner .
