Geoscience - Geology Major Map
Overview
The Geoscience: Geology Option major is intended to be a more traditional geology program designed to provide students with the flexibility to explore specific areas of interest and adapt to changing employment markets. It focuses on fundamental skills while embracing the interdisciplinary nature of geoscience and emphasizing an Earth-systems approach to solving problems. This allows graduates to succeed in traditional industries (such as mining and petroleum) while also preparing them for 21st-century careers in areas like environmental consulting and renewable energy.
