The Biology department, in cooperation with other science departments and the College of Education, administers a Board of Teaching approvable program to meet the needs of 21st century science teachers at the 9-12 grade level.

Teaching majors must take all courses in the Professional Education Sequence in addition to courses in the content area, as described below. Students majoring in Biology Life Science must have both a 2.75 overall GPA and 2.50 GPA or higher in the major.
