NURS 662 - Innovations in Nursing and Healthcare Leadership Practicum

In this practicum course, learners will be immersed in a healthcare, health-related, or healthcare educational setting where innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit are necessary for program or organizational operation and success. Learners will be challenged to lead an innovative, evidenced-based change to improve organizational or population health outcomes. Prerequisites: NURS 608 - Organizational and Systems Leadership, NURS 614 - Evidence-Based Practice, NURS 652 - Financial Resource Management in Nursing Service, NURS 653 - Human Resource Management, or instructor permission. Corequisites: NURS 651 - Strategic Project Management and NURS 654 - Structure and Design of Nursing Services in Health Care Organizations. Grade only. Offered annually (usually spring semester).
