◆ EDFD 440 - Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment: Early Childhood and Elementary (3 credits)
This course provides students with the knowledge, skill, and understanding of building curriculum, choosing appropriate instructional strategies, and assessing both pupil knowledge as well as curriculum and instruction. In particular, the focus of the course is creating curriculum, instruction, and assessment for early childhood and elementary educational settings. This course has field experience hours within local school districts. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education, EDFD 400 - Human Development and Learning: Early Childhood and Elementary , and EDFD 460 - Multicultural Youth, Children, & Families Part I: Early Childhood and Elementary . Corequisite: . Grade only. Offered each semester. This course may be retaken once due to student withdrawal or earning less than C grade.
