△ EDUC 334 - Teaching Mathematics in the Elementary School

(3 S.H.)

Teaching competencies such as guiding student inquiry, demonstrating mathematical principles and procedures, and using a variety of instructional aids are developed in relation to scope and sequence of elementary curriculums. Prerequisites: EFRT 303 - Human Development and Learning: Elementary Education with Early Childhood Emphasis  and ◆ EFRT 310 - Instructional Planning and Assessment: Elementary Education with Early Childhood Emphasis , or EFRT 304 - Human Development and Learning: Middle Level and K-12  and ◆ EFRT 311 - Instructional Planning and Assessment: Middle Level and K-12 . Offered each semester.
