Overview
The Sociology minor is valuable for those considering careers in advertising, advocacy, climate change, counseling, criminal justice, data analytics, human resources, management, non-profit administration, public administration, public policy, research, and social work. Sociology students examine how culture, personal experiences, and social structure affect human behavior and beliefs. Students explore theory, examine published research, and develop their understanding of social inequality, diversity, social change, and the different life courses individuals might take.
Note: Students may not major in Sociology (SOC) and minor in Sociology (SOCG).
