NURS 465 - Population-Based Health Care II (4 S.H.) (3 S.H. theory/1 S.H. practicum) (Baccalaureate RN Completion)
Population-based health care concepts are elaborated upon from fundamentals introduced in N475 Population Health Care I. A focus on population health interventions to influence the health of individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations is studied and applied to the community setting. Students will elaborate on the foundational principles of population-based health to become a student of the community learning from individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. Students will apply concepts to implement population health interventions. Prerequisites: Admission to the RN-BS Completion Program, NURS 415 - Concepts in Professional Nursing , NURS 435 - Holistic Assessment , & △ NURS 475 - Population-Based Health Care I . Corequisites: △ NURS 445 - Leadership and Management , NURS 455 - Issues and Trends in Managing Chronic Conditions , & ◎ NURS 491 - Professional Engagement . Grade only. Offered spring semester.
