EEOL 315 - Global Studies Field Experience

This 20 hours of field experience offers an opportunity for educators to immerse themselves in an elementary classroom with varying cultures. This field experience includes carefully planned activities and interactions, participants will: gain firsthand experience in fostering intercultural communication skills and promoting empathy for diverse learners and communities while reflecting on their own teaching practices and develop strategies for creating inclusive and equitable learning environments that address global challenges. Prerequisite: College of Education Admission. Corequisites: EEOL 301 - Development Theories, EEOL 305 - Development Observation: Children in Context, EEOL 306 - Assessment in the Elementary Classroom, EEOL 307 - Social Studies in the Elementary Classroom, EEOL 310 - Global Studies in the Elementary School. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
