EEOL 310 - Global Studies in the Elementary School

Teacher candidates develop awareness of personal identity that impacts their world view and the curiosity to examine other worldviews. This course provides elementary teacher candidates with an exploration of cultural issues and their impact on education, fostering a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, social justice, and global citizenship to enhance teaching practices and promote equitable learning environments. Prerequisite: College of Education Admission Corequisites: EEOL 301 - Development Theories, EEOL 305 - Development Observation: Children in Context, EEOL 306 - Assessment in the Elementary Classroom, EEOL 307 - Social Studies in the Elementary Classroom, EEOL 315 - Global Studies Field Experience. Grade only. Offered annually (usually fall semester).
