◆ NURS 340 - Professional Nursing and Nursing Success II


(3 credits) Meets GEP Math/Critical Analysis Intensive (effective Summer 2026).

Students will continue to be provided with information on the profession of nursing in the context of foundational concepts important to holistic nursing. Students will implement the following skills: clinical judgement, communication, compassionate care, DEI, ethics evidenced-based practice, and social determinants of health. Students will practice NCLEX strategies and take NCLEX preparatory exams. Preferred corequisites: NURS 345 - Nursing Competency Skills and Application II , NURS 350 - Medical/Surgical Nursing II , NURS 365 - Nursing Care of Maternal and Infant Patients ,NURS 370 - Nursing Care for Mental Health . Prerequisites: Admission to the Nursing program and NURS 300 - Professional Nursing and Nursing Success I .  Grade only. Offered each semester on Winona and Rochester campuses. Note: Differential tuition rates apply. This course is allowed to be repeated 1 time.
