SPED 455 - Early Childhood Special Education Student Teaching (12-15 S.H.)
This course is designed for teacher candidates of the early childhood special education program. This field experience covers appropriate instruction and case management for students birth to age 6 with special needs. Prerequisites: SPED 300 - Children and Youth with Exceptionalities , SPED 405 - Student Management Systems , SPED 410 - Introduction to Assessment/Methods , SPED 420 - Special Education Administrative Procedures , SPED 430 - Characteristics of Students with Disabilities , SPED 450 - Early Childhood Special Education Foundations , SPED 451 - Early Childhood Special Education Assessment, Planning, and Placement , SPED 452 - Early Childhood Special Education Instructional Design and Implementation , SPED 453 - Early Childhood Special Education Collaboration , SPED 454 - Early Childhood Special Education Field Experience ; △ EDUC 416 - Early Childhood/Kindergarten Curriculum ; EFRT 303 - Human Development and Learning: Elementary Education with Early Childhood Emphasis , EDFD 308 - Human Relations and Student Diversity , ◆ EFRT 310 - Instructional Planning and Assessment: Elementary Education with Early Childhood Emphasis , △ EDFD 459 - The Professional Educator ; AA degree or equivalent.
